Steam deck is not really playable start to finish overall. Lookout landing was my sticking point. I've used countless mod setups, yuzu ea versions with different setups, updates, etc. I messed with it for a month or so, and it just was nowhere near a good experience imo.You replace the .appimage with the ea one, but you rename it to be the same name as what you're replacing. Performance is a LOT better with that config, and of course battery life gets a hit. Notice however that plugin loader has a bug and sometimes may freeze steam deck when you click the 3 dot or steam buttons and you'll have to restart the SD, so you have to live with that until it gets fixed.Buttery smooth will not be a thing on deck right now. Best i get is 25-30 average when playing. 1x , handheld, fsr 75-100% does not seem to effect speed its more preference, gpu normal not high, vulkan, cryoutilities with swap file 16gb swappiness 1, bios on deck set to 4gb instead of 1, smt turned off, lock gpu at 1600 mhz and make sure the game is the most recent update.I ran into so many bugs and issues that I caved tbh, I don't have the patience haha. The Pineapple guy used to work for Yuzu. The other guys didn't like that he releases the EA versions for free so they sent him a cease and desist letter, but Yuzu is open source so I think the cease and desist didn't/ doesn't hold any water. Crashing on the Steam Deck. I'm having a ton of issues getting Yuzu to work on my Deck. The yuzu on windows works way better than the steam deck Linux version in the games that I've tested. On the windows version all the mirrors and reflective surfaces work perfectly, on the Linux version they're all glitched out still. ...
