My strategy for this quest is I created a farm on a level that had grass, and created three dragonmoss steps there (as the chests are free to open it goes pretty fast!). Then I deleted everything else. Then the dragons harvest with idle play, and you just have to clean up, collect stone & merge chests periodically.The quickest way I have found is to harvest level 9 prism flowers. You get lots of level 4 chests from them, which you can then merge up. I have 4 level 9's and it goes pretty quick. You can also harvest stonehenge for level 5 chests, and of course fruit from fruit trees for all kinds of chests. The higher level fruit, the better.

I've had this request, it isn't actually specific to grass dragons. Sometimes it's a glitch in specifics. If you haven't, try merging other level 2 dragons and see if they count.
