There was a change to the 2023 models for the Gen6 and how they can get the FOTA updates. the infotainment is now designated as the CP 1.5 version (not the 1.0). Firmware updates are USB or DCM (data communications module) only. That system uses the DCM to check for, and announce, available map updates too.Side note - there is a class action settlement that is still pending for all 2018 subarus because of a starlink malfunction and a result of that is that Subaru is extending all 2018 warranties to 100,000 miles or 5 years.
