yes it has worked since. The trick is to pull the fuse so no new power to radio head unit. then the act of inserting the cd used up power in capacitors and "reset it". then put fuse back in. Ford is deep in sync problems and I haven't seen my 2011 F150 for 4 weeks now because they can't get the correct APIM (module). On Jan. 7 Ford replaced the APIM.
