Guys, I’m doing a custom build on my 89 310-8, i need to bypass all of the safety switches. I don’t want to burn anything up so your help would greatly be appreciated. It is not advisable to remove safety switches, custom build or not the "SAFETY SWITCHES" are there for a reason; safety.All prior models show the 6" diameter friction disc but not all use the flat plate. Some the plate includes a hub. 1974 models except model 1-0393 use the 6-3/4" manual pto plate 103817 which has been replaced by 94-6650. 1974-on are 6-3/4". The confusion arises because I believe there is a 37" deck (possibly 05-37SC02) that uses a conventional belt (3 sided) and consequently the pulley configuration changes for the idler and mule on that deck.
