To make a short story long. We bought a 2014 duramax with blown motor, with egr def delete. We bought a motor I was told it was a lml. Ended up being a lgh, out of a cab chassis 2013, everything matched up other then one egr plug. Basically it is not seeing a signal from the camshaft because its not seeing the completed circuit. Loosen the bleeder screw- next to the primer pump on the filter housing, pump the primer until fuel comes out, tighten the screw [careful it is plastic] continue pumping the primer until firm. Crank the truck a few revolutions and pump the primer. If low on fuel-- add 5 gallons- just to be sure.Change the fuel filter often, the Duramax fuel system is fed by suction from the fuel tank and the slightest filter plugging will starve and overwork the fuel pump. The newer 17 models finally use a fuel boost pump to correct the starve issue. I know I'm a little answering this, but thanks to all for the advise.Let's start with the transmission. Try installing the original FPR back in. Inspect the fuel lines to/from the CP4 and make sure they are not dry rotted/cracked or kinked in any way. Inspect all fuses.
