I Just found my first basic tools after a 9 hr session, i got it from a green box stash in Cordan as a reward for a quest. If you dont have any luck you could always cheat one in in debug mode.

Bro i just gave up and spawned it. Since advanced tools requaires 4 basic ones, i just searched for 8 advanced tools and crafted it as soon as i found the last one. I found like 13 of advanced one at before spawning it. Gamma is just the anomaly experience but with mods. I recommend playing True Stalker, because it is more similar to the original 3 games, but everything is over haul. Forester gave me fuck all quests so i moved to Jupiter/zaton, despite the many quests in Janov And Zaton, they pretty much only gimme white stashes in the south.With the newest GAMMA build I rushed through a simple loner play though to unlock and try an UNISG route again.
