The HDV is good enough to run a 7950X, its perfectly fine for a 7800X3D. M.2 E-key slot means that you can add a wifi card easily as well, on the DS3H you'll need to use PCI-E and probably a riser because there's a good chance the GPU is going to cover the slot. While he was there support and bios updates were fast and decent. Hardware wise the Crosshair VI was the best x370. Too bad, we could run ryzen 5000 easily to full OC.Best. Asrock is more or so known mainly for their motherboards though the GPU’s should be fine. They do like every AIB partners do, they buy the GPU boards and put their own coolers, fans etc on it. It should be performing relatively close to any other card of the same bracket excluding but not limited to Watercooled ones.

There is, however, almost zero practical difference between the Z690 Hero and Z790, basically one extra rear USB port and swapping a 3.0 m.2 slot for a 4.0. So if the older version is cheaper than the newer, it might make sense.The “controller” is usually part of the Mainboard. Most more recent ones have PUMP headers and fan headers have been there for ages. Indeed, many mid-range and high-end boards have lots of headers these days. The issue is really that the software/firmware controlling them is rather poor.
