Remove the battery cover behind the Brinks electronic keypad lock. Find the small hole marked “R”. Use a paper clip to press the “R” key. Hold for a few seconds until you hear 3 long beeps. Now the programming code is reset. It now reverts to the default code of 0-0-0-0 and the user code is again 1-2-3-4. Then press the BRINKS button. The default Programming Code for Brinks Digital Deadbolt is 0000. Press 0 on the keypad. Then press the BRINKS button. The lock motor will run. Then the status light will flash green twice and the lock beep twice, showing the process is complete. The door handing is complete.First Alert supports certain models of Brinks home safes manufactured prior to 2010.
