Removing armor therefore makes you do a lot more damage, and giving a frame that ability makes the community happy so the players are more likely to try out or use the new/reworked frame. Armor stripping makes Viral tagging much less important since the amount of damage you do on enemies without armor is so high that it makes any element viable with a proper build. It is also the preferred tactic with dealing with Deimos Infested, who pretty much all the important enemies resist Viral anyway, making it useless.The Sarpa also deals impact damage when shooting with it (unlike the Redeemer).
