People that use the starvation method use it so that you can dump a massive amount of prime meat into an animal at once so that it doesn't have time to spoil. #6.Given that, it seems like it would be reasonably effective to starve them a little first, since that would mean they would eat more in succession and the bar would rise faster. The one concern I have is that waiting for them to starve would reduce the taming efficiency meter appropriately, which would reduce how much the food you used was worth.I believe the taming efficiency is all about how you knock them out. Slingshot opposed to fists. Tranq arrows opposed to the slingshot, ect ect. Ive used Tranq arrows and gotton 99% eff right off the bat on some dino's. Also time of day and all that as its been said. The time it would take you to starve them anyway, you coulda been spending taming.
