I always kept it offhand because it would lower my resistances a little and wasn't worth the investment to max them again especially with getting equal resistances via the wise oak. There is no need to weapon swap otherwise., Uber uber elder is a step up from the previous ones, it's the same difficulty increase as in uber shaper but with a lot more chaotic shit going on it's harder to maneuver the fight properly.
