The Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) allows you to attend Army ROTC and serve in the US Army Reserve or Army National Guard at the same time. It gives you an opportunity for additional training and experience. Cadets serve as officer "interns" in the Reserve or National Guard while completing college.The GRFD is a 2-year scholarships available for members of the Army Reserve (AR) who desire to commission in the Reserve Forces. Applicants must be members of the AR and participate in the Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) as a cadet. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis.
