Steps are as follows: 1) Click the level 4 spell slot. 2) Click Animate Dead. 3) Choose undead of your choice. 4) Click the level 4 spell slot again. This causes the spell to be ready to be cast with a menu that asks you to select the undead selection again. Animate Dead lets you raise 1 undead, and requires you to use the spell to reassert control over it every 24 hours. When cast with a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you can raise/reassert control over 2 additional undead for each slot level above 3rd. 3rd Level Slot: 1 undead at a time; 4th Level Slot: 3 undead at a timeI've had a druid with 12 summons active at once. The undead spells require a body though, Zombies make more zombies, They just die out of combat. I havn't found an upper limit myself yet outside of running out of bodies to summon more undead.
