It is definitely a Crinoid or sea lily/feather star as they are also called. The species should be Neocrinus Decorus, but I'm not a marine biologist, so take that with a grain of salt.Crinoid holdfasts have many shapes and sizes (Ubaghs, 1978; Brett, 1981; Guensberg, 1992; Seilacher and Mcclintock, 2005). In some cases, holdfasts have distinctive shapes that were given genus (form-genus) names. In other cases, they are just termed holdfasts of the larger crinoid. It is made up of several plates which form a ring. There are usually 2 or 3 of these rings. This contains both the mouth and anus which are on the upper side of the cup. There can be additional rings which extend the size of the calyx (aboral cup). The arms extend from the cup. They are also made up of plates. They can have many branches.
