The 30 and 30sf "feel" pretty much the same, but the 30s with its thinner slide is much less top heavy and balances better. (In my opinion)The quick and dirty is that the 30SF is a full sized 30 slide on the Short Frame (SF). The SF frame reduces the distance between the front & back straps to allow for more trigger reach on the G30. The 30S is a G36 slide mounted on the SF frame.
