Four or five ferries were running and our wait to get on the ferry was about 5 minutes. We have waited 45-60 minutes during the summer and spring break. It took 5 minutes to load the ferry and the trip across the channel took about 5 minutes. Often the ferry wait time and operational schedule is not up to date (yesterday it showed 15 minutes when clearly the wait to get on was over 30 minutes). Once boarded the trip is pretty short. I usually check the port cameras to see how the line is doing. When there really is no wait (15 minutes is the default) it's great.
