Battey Distinguished Professor of History. He received his B.A. from Oxford University in 1984 and his Ph.D from Brandeis University in 1989.According to Richard Godbeer, in his book, The Salem Witch Hunt, “it was Eve who first gave away to Satan and seduced Adam.” (Godbeer 12).
