Plex buffering direct play
My buddy is playing from my PC’s server with Plex for Mac. The bug is triggered when he direct plays remotely (my local direct play is unaffected). Stream will play for about 60 secs then buffer continuously. I believe u/prinapocalypse posted about having the same issue previously. The only workaround is to force a transcode.Just bought a shield hoping it would solve buffering issues that I’ve been having playing 4k HDR video with plex. I plugged my hard drive with the videos directly to one of the USB ports on the shield and I’m still getting buffering with videos that are direct playing at about 50mbps. The server is remote but videos play fine on my phone with the plex app and on my windows machine with the plex app. All the devices on the same WiFi and all doing Direct play.
