My son has a fairly new to him 2016 Peterbuilt with I believe an MX13 Pacar engine. I was using it last week to haul lime when the red STOP ENGINE light comes on and the engine dies. carly cowart Mar 3, 2018 · The mx 10 would be 2011 my trucks. The mx 13 would be 2014 my trucks. He said air compressor and power steering pump can go out and end up doing collateral damage. Those are all very expensive parts. He also said a turbo was a ridiculous amount of money. When I was truck shopping he said stay away from the paccar. New Cummins he said was good. The MX13 Paccar isn't a bad running engine for a 13L. I drive a 2016 KW T880 with that engine set at 485 and a 13 speed trans. I run Interstate 78 through Eastern Pa which is pretty rolling.
