In the marry me serana you ask her to marry you and it goes much like it does with everyone else. You can assign her to a house, adopt kids who will talk with her, etc. but if you marry her through the dialogue add on you can’t do the other stuff you would usually be able to do with a spouse. You can only choose to do one or the other. For those who would prefer Serana without the major changes the SDA makes, there is the Serana Dialogue Edit mod. It resplices her lines to create new conversations, but it's done decently and it kept her personality more consistent with standard Dawnguard.
