Jan 28, 2018 · Installation. It is easiest to install studs when a track is removed from the snowmobile. If the track is installed on the snowmobile, we remove the rear suspension, lift the tunnel up high and work away. Make note that having minimal fuel in your tank is recommended when lifting the tunnel up high so that your fuel doesn’t drain out the vent. I would like to throw a couple springs in though, as this really helped my 900NA. It currently jumps to 7500rpm and creeps to 7600 after WOT for 20-30 seconds with the 1.6 ice cobra track on it. Underneath the hood, install a fan or two in the black panel plastic panel that covers the underside of the gauges. The only time I wished for more power than the 550F was this last winter. The snow was very deep.
