The Hydro's (oil filled) are better "softer" riding than the Nitro (gas charged) "stiffer" shock. They just aren’t as hard hitting. Have no comparison for rough country though. I’m at 3” lift. 2.5” from eibach coils and running a 1/2” top spacer.
