This morning I took the plywood off of the bed frame so that I could access the Lippert Hall Effect Bed Tilt Control 15001-C (part #260793) and found green and red LED's blinking in every imaginable combination. I called Lippert tech support, and after over an hour of waiting ... It was not difficult to do. There are four straight pins (similar to the ones outside on the ladder to the roof) that hold the top bunk near the ceiling and allow only the lower bunk to come down. These holes are in the four tracks near the top for these pins to pass though. Origionally the bed had 2 lower limits and operated successfully: 1. for use with ladder to allow additional sleeping area below the bed. 2. just above seating area for electric bed use only. The cost for this system is $1499. According to their website, this is an exclusive system to Castle Winch only. That is the winch style that is similar to Happijac’s system. There are cheaper alternatives that lift the bed but are not flat like the winch style can do it.
